Meet Our Team
Mary Kate Tillman, MD, FAAP
Dr Tillman has been practicing pediatrics as a board- certified pediatrician in Summerville since finishing her residency at MUSC in 1995 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, (FAAP). She is the founder and owner of Oakbrook Pediatrics. Dr Tillman completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame (Go Irish!) and her medical training at the Medical College of Virginia/ Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Dr Tillman especially enjoys watching her patients grow up from newborns to young adults and now has the privilege of caring for multiple generations of pediatric patients. She and her husband Donnie have three daughters: Erin, Katie, and Anna Claire, and a German Short- Haired Pointer named Murphy.
Jessie Litsey, MD, FAAP
Dr. Jessie Litsey was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She attended Centenary College of Louisiana for her undergraduate studies. There she competed on the gymnastics team. She received her medical degree at Medical College of Georgia and completed pediatric residency at Medical University of South Carolina. She is board- certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She lives at home with her husband, Jed, a local family physician, and their two daughters, Ellie and Cora. She joined Oakbrook Pediatrics in 2016 and has special interests in preventive medicine and mental health
Esther Wilson, MD, FAAP
Dr. Esther Wilson has been practicing at Oakbrook Pediatrics since moving to our area in 2013. She is a board- certified pediatrician who completed her medical degree at University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN in 2010. She completed her pediatric residency at Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga, TN in 2013. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). Dr. Wilson keeps a saltwater aquarium at home and loves visiting the beach with her husband, son, and dog.
Ashley Spencer, RN, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, PMHS
Ashley worked as a RN in pediatrics for several years prior to obtaining her Master’s in Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016. She began her NP career working at a pediatric practice in Beaufort, SC for five years prior to joining the Oakbrook Pediatrics team.
She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is a member of both the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Additionally, she holds certification as a pediatric mental health specialist.
Ashley and her husband, Rob, love spending their free time with their two daughters enjoying the beach, boating, and cheering on local sports teams.
Hannah Winningham, RN, MSN, APRN, CPNP
Hannah was born and raised in Summerville, SC. She completed her undergraduate RN degree through USC in 2012. Hannah worked as a med-surg/postpartum nurse while attending MUSC to obtain her master’s degree in nursing in 2014. She is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with certification through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Hannah enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She also loves going to the lake, shopping, and Disney:)
Emily Jenkins, RN, MSN, APRN, CPNP, PMHS
Emily Jenkins grew up in North Carolina and received a Bachelor’s from Wake Forest University. She moved to Charleston in the 90’s and worked in marketing, advertising and the creative arts. She later earned her Bachelor’s of Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina and spent 11 years working as a RN at MUSC. There she developed a love of pediatrics and has been working with children for 15 years. She attended Duke University School of Nursing and studied to be a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Mental Health Specialist. She has been in practice in the Charleston area for 5 years. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She is passionate about patient education and incorporating mental health in the primary care setting. In her free time, she enjoys her family, her cats, and painting.
